Commercial Solicitor Public Sector Focus Essex

Were working with a top-tier law firm thats expanding its nationally recognised public sector team. There is flexibility here, and theyre looking for an ambitious solicitor, from NQ up to Senior Associate level.

This team is known for its work with public bodies across the UK, including central and local government, education, health, and law enforcement. They advise on high-profile strategic projects and day-to-day commercial matters, always with a focus on practical, commercially sound solutions.

What Youll Be Doing

• Advising public sector clients on a wide range of commercial contracts
• Drafting and negotiating service agreements, frameworks, and collaboration documents
• Supporting strategic projects and providing procurement guidance (depending on experience)
• Advising on public law and governance issues (if applicable)
• Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team development
• Playing an active role in the growth of the practice

What Theyre Looking For

• A qualified solicitor (NQ+) with experience in commercial contracts
• Background in either public or private sector
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Commercial mindset and ability to deliver clear, practical advice
• Experience in procurement or public law is a bonus, but not essential
