Job Title: Custom Cabinet Maker

JOB SUMMARY

This position requires the assembly of custom commercial grade furnishings. The skill set in this position requires structural grade to fine finish carpentry work. In this position, the Custom Cabinet Maker will be asked to assist in company mockups, designs, proto-types and full production of any custom product.

• Prior to the shift beginning, this position gets updated by and takes direction from the Assembly supervisor regarding the workload, priorities, and assignments for the shift.
• Has the ability to read and understand floor layouts and blueprints
• Interacts with engineering and project managers on how the finished product is supposed to look and what are the requirements of use for the product.
• Works with advanced hand tools and uses advanced assembly methods to complete production requirements.
• Makes recommendations to his supervisor on advanced or unique construction methods
• Makes recommendations on tooling and supplies required to do the job.
• Manages a daily production schedule.
• Responsible for completion of the expected daily output and makes supervisor aware of constraints in completing assigned work.
• Insures all finished goods are properly scanned out of production upon product completion and moved to the proper warehouse finished goods locations
• Ensures all finished goods are packed, palletized or crated to protect product in shipment.
• Ensures that he receives parts in a quality manner and at the efficiency rate deemed appropriate by the Assembly Supervisor.
• Follows all company safety and policy regulations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years’ experience in a shop floor manufacturing environment or skilled commercial/furniture/environment.
• Fluent in company production standards and methods.
• Participate in shop floor standard products.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Proper phone etiquette.
• Ability to read and understand company generated drawings, and customer orders.

• Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hand manual tools, using battery operated or electrical hand tools, and pulling and pushing manual material handling equipment.
• Vision abilities require close vision assessments.
• May be required to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
• May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Moderately loud noise levels in plant environment.

• This position reports to the Hamilton Casework Assembly Supervisor.
