Job Description

A school in Bridgeport, CT is seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter for the 2025/2026 school year. This full-time contract position involves working one-on-one with an elementary student, providing vital communication support in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate effective communication through sign language interpretation for an elementary student.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Adapt interpreting techniques to meet the students individual needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong sign language interpreting skills with demonstrated experience working in a school environment.
• Holds RID/NIC certification and/or a high EIPA score, indicating advanced proficiency.
• Ability to commit to full-time hours (32.5 hours per week) throughout the school year.
