Guthrie Clinic, a non-profit, physician-led, integrated health care delivery system is seeking candidates for a BC/BE Chief of Palliative and Hospice Care to lead their program.

Highlights of the opportunity

• Guthrie Medical Group is looking for a physician with a strong desire to join, lead and grow its Palliative Care division
• This department resides within Department of Medicine and supports the Oncology service line as well
• Based within the main campus in Sayre, PA with regionalization as the program develops
• This is an inpatient practice, with the development of an outpatient program
• 90% of consultations are medical, 10% are surgical
• There are 2 Nurse Practitioners, 1 Physician and 1 Social Worker who are dedicated to the division

Work Life Balance

• Standard hours - Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with rotating call amongst Hem/Onc department

Our multi-specialty group practice of more than 366 physicians and 302 advanced practice providers offers 47 specialties through a regional office network providing primary and specialty care in 22 communities. Guthrie Medical Education Programs include General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Anesthesiology and Orthopaedic Surgery Residency, as well as Cardiovascular, Gastroenterology and Pulmonary Critical Care Fellowship programs.
