Responsibilities Build server-side Java components and web services to power user experience and geospatial workflows Prototype, design, develop, and deliver complete software features and products that can scale, are fault tolerant, and handle concurrent workloads Find, analyze, and fix bugs/performance problems whenever and wherever they occur Work collaboratively with other teams to understand requirements and incorporate them into the software Requirements 1+ years of experience developing middleware software components using core Java, Servlets (JavaEE), JSP Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) and services such as Amazon S3, SQS, EC2, Blob Service, Table Service Familiar with Java design patterns Proficient in Linux OS, commands, and interfacing Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2) Skilled in debugging, profiling tools (Eclipse/IntelliJ Debugger, JProfiler), and source control systems (GIT) Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills Bachelor's in math, computer science, physics, or related field Recommended Qualifications Familiarity with JSON and XML Knowledge of and familiarity with Java build systems such as Maven and ANT Experience with monitoring tools (Fiddler) and JDK debugging tools (JProfiler, jmap) Knowledge of Docker containers and orchestrators such as Kubernetes Total Rewards Esri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading health and welfare benefits: medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance for employees (and their families), 401(k) and profit‑sharing programs, minimum accrual of 80 hours of vacation leave, twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
