Job Description

Marketing Summer Intern (Summer 2026) Location: Trek HQ in Waterloo, WI Hours: 32-40 hours/week Compensation: $20/hour Duration: 12 weeks starting June 1st

Trek's Marketing team is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and motivated student to join our summer internship program. As a Marketing Summer Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in brand, retail, and event marketing while supporting Trek's mission to change the world by getting more people on bikes.

You'll work closely with our Events and Retail Marketing Team, helping to bring Trek's events to life and amplifying our presence through social media. In addition, you will be asked to assist with various things, from prize fulfillment of challenges or supporting local marketing requests. This role is ideal for someone who loves cycling, thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, enjoys being part of live events, and is eager to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world marketing projects.

Weekend availability is required for event support.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Management (WORS): Develop and execute a social media plan for the Wisconsin Off Road Series (WORS), including content strategy, content creation, post scheduling, and performance tracking.
  • Event Marketing & Logistics: Assist with pre-event planning, onsite execution, and post-event follow-up.
  • Trek Ride Club App Support: Manage prize fulfillment for Ride Club challenges and assist with social content creation.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Jump in and help wherever neededthis is a hands-on internship that touches many areas of Trek's marketing world!

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Communications, or related program
  • Strong understanding of social media best practices
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Self-starter who's comfortable working independently
  • Confident and outgoing personality
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Well-organized and self-motivated
  • Good communication skills; not afraid to ask questions when needed
  • Weekend availability for event work
