Job Title: Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)

Location: 2973 Bingle Rd, Houston TX 77055

Schedule: Monday -Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay Rate Ranges : $18.00 - $21.00

Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) who serves as the face of our organization, providing exceptional service to patients visiting for routine health checks or critical diagnostic needs.

The PSR I is responsible for collecting quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, professional, and patient-centered environment. This role requires a balance of strong technical skills and a compassionate, customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities:

• Collects blood specimens from patients (including pediatric and geriatric) using skillful, safe, and accurate techniques
• Explains procedures to patients and creates a calm, professional environment
• Verifies patient/donor identity and ensures accurate labeling and documentation
• Processes specimens for clinical and forensic testing per established protocols
• Maintains a clean, safe, and professional workspace
• Accurately completes all necessary records and documentation
• Demonstrates commitment to quality, confidentiality, and positive representation of the organization

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, and WA)
• Medical training (e.g., Medical Assistant or Paramedic) preferred
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience (1+ year preferred)
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed
