$86,650.99 - $134,309.04 The Clinical Informatics Nurse utilizes the Tenets of American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of practice for Nursing Informatics. The Clinical Informatics Nurse provides expertise in the planning, design, development, training, implementation, communication, maintenance, and evaluation of new or existing functionality related to clinical and business information systems. Working under the direction of the Director of Informatics, CNIO, the Clinical Informatics Nurse integrates nursing/clinical science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge and wisdom in clinical practice. The Clinical Informatics Nurse supports the metaparadigm of nursing through information and data management, and works as a liaison among stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to processes, workflow, policies, and information systems that support clinical practice and operations. The Clinical Informatics Nurse ensures data/information is current with regulatory agency and evidence-based practice standards and incorporates a unique body of nursing knowledge with clinical information systems. The Clinical Informatics Nurse coordinates the collection and reporting of outcome metrics associated with the clinical information systems. This position serves as an internal consultant to all departments to identify and achieve department and organizational goals and provides direct contact with vendors to ensure customer needs are met.
