As a School Nurse, you’ll ensure students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn. Working alongside teachers, therapists, and families, you’ll provide essential medical support and help create a caring, inclusive school environment.

• Current Virginia license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Minimum of two years’ nursing experience working with children (preferred)

• Valid Virginia Driver’s License

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and organized in fast-paced situations

• Provide first aid, manage medical emergencies, and coordinate with families, EMS, and physicians

• Maintain student medical records, physicals, and immunizations in compliance with regulations

• Develop and implement Individualized Health Plans in collaboration with families and healthcare providers

• Administer medications safely, train staff on emergency medications, and document all administrations

• Monitor infection control procedures and communicate illness updates with families and health departments
