Security Engineer – Tools SME - PKH Enterprises is looking for a Security Tools Engineer to join our team supporting a federal client. This is remote work, but candidates must be living in the DC metro area for occasional onsite meetings. This role ensures that security technologies are properly integrated, optimized, and aligned with threat detection, incident response and compliance objectives.

Responsibilities: 

· Responsible for the management of ITA Cyber Security tools. Management includes provisioning and maintenance of user accounts and access controls, configuration and tuning of the tools for optimal performance and accuracy, and management of threat detection and response capabilities to protect the enterprise environment.

· The Contractor will also be responsible for working and resolving customer support tickets related to SOC tool issues, including troubleshooting tool functionality, access problems, configuration requests, and performance concerns.

· Timely and accurate ticket handling will be a key part of maintaining service quality.

· Additionally, the Contractor will provide reporting on capacity, performance, and overall security posture. SOC tools must be available 99.999% of the time.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent work experience)

· 5 years of work experience in security engineering or operations.
