Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with 18 months of ER nursing and travel experience required, holding a current IN or compact license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Weekend work is required every other weekend
• Patient care primarily in the ER with possible floating to nearby sister facilities
• EMR system is Cerner—experience required
• Responsible for providing emergency care for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced setting
• Floating to other units and nearby hospitals is mandatory for all travelers
• All candidates must work at least 2 out of the 3 major holidays
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Modules must be completed prior to start and average 4-6 hours
• Local candidates are not accepted for ER positions

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active IN or compact RN license in hand prior to start
• Minimum 18 months of Emergency Department RN experience required
• At least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience in the ER is mandatory
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA or RQI accepted, all must be current)
• Nursing degree from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation
• Must provide two supervisor references
• No previous permanent or PRN employment at the facility within the past 12 months
