Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Seymour, Indiana (47274) – Southern Indiana healthcare jobs
  
• Facility Setting: Adult Medical/Surgical & Pediatrics Units
  
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract (Start: 11/4/2025 – End: 2/3/2026)
  
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week)
  
• Guaranteed Hours: 34.5 hours per week
  
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,720 - $1,840
  
• Support Staff: LPNs and CNAs on staff
  
• Orientation: Hands-on, unit-based training with a preceptor
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical Nursing
  
• Previous travel RN experience required
  
• Pediatric nursing experience required
  
• Active Indiana RN license or compact state RN license
  
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
  
• ACLS certification preferred
  

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult medical, surgical, and pediatric patients
  
• Administer medications, perform vital sign assessments, and conduct thorough head-to-toe evaluations
  
• Initiate and monitor IVs, manage blood administration, and perform point-of-care testing
  
• Utilize clinical equipment including telemetry, bladder scanners, vein viewers, and Meditech charting systems
  
• Float between adult medical and surgical units as needed to support patient care
  
• Collaborate with LPNs and CNAs to ensure optimal clinical support and patient outcomes
  
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to facility dress code standards
