Job Title: Warehouse Laborer with IT Service Experience

Location: 9757 Widmer Road Lenexa, KS 66215 US
Job Type: 2 to 3 months Contract role 
Pay Rate: $25 to $30/hr on 1099 

Position Overview:

We are looking for an IT Warehouse Worker to support daily warehouse operations with a focus on IT hardware handling. The ideal candidate will have experience in boxing, labeling, un-racking network equipment, and preparing IT gear for deployment or shipment. This is a hands-on role that blends physical warehouse tasks with light IT hardware support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and document incoming IT equipment and supplies.
• Box and prepare IT equipment (laptops, desktops, routers, switches, etc.) for movement or shipping , ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
• Un-rack switches and network hardware from server racks safely and efficiently.
• Label and tag IT devices as per inventory or deployment requirements.
• Unbox, test, and inventory incoming hardware (monitors, printers, cables, etc.).
• Track inventory and asset status using warehouse management or IT asset systems.
• Maintain organized and secure storage for IT assets.
• Assist with basic hardware setup and cable management during staging.
• Support IT and operations teams with hardware deployments or returns.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
• Hands-on experience handling IT hardware (computers, servers, switches, etc.).
• Comfortable with boxing, unboxing, labeling, and physically preparing IT gear .
• Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• Familiarity with barcode scanners, handheld tools, and basic inventory software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience un-racking and handling network equipment.
• Familiarity with WMS or IT asset management tools.
• Basic understanding of server room or data center environments.
• Knowledge of packaging standards for fragile electronics.

Work Environment:

• Physical warehouse and IT staging area.
• Regular lifting, boxing, and movement of electronic equipment.
• Occasional collaboration with IT technicians and deployment teams.
