DESCRIPTION: 2nd Shift Waste Water Treatment Operator (Alternating 12 hr days)
Week 1 Wednesday-Saturday Week 2 Thursday--Saturday

This position requires the knowledge and ability to perform all waste water requirements

POSITION SUMMARY:
Organize, coordinate and oversee the overall operation of Waste Water Treatment Plant activities as requested by Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor

Job responsibilities and requirements

• Daily operation of Waste Treatment Plant
• Proficiently operate all necessary equipment associated with Water Treatment facility.
• Perform laboratory analysis of waste water samples.
• Obtain a water license within 12 months
• Obtain a wastewater treatment certificate within one year
• Be able to work efficiently with little direct supervision
• Be an effective verbal and written communicator
• All other duties assigned by leadership (Foreman, Supervisor, and Manager)
• Act as a representative on specials committees as needed.
• Work with outside agencies and vendors including City of Hornell and Dept. of Environmental Conservation
• Maintain, review, and distribute quality control reports as requested by Maintenance Manager and Supervisor.
• Order and maintain inventory of all reagents, supplies, and equipment needed to assure a well-equipped water treatment plant.
• Maintain flow process to ensure compliance with regulatory limits
• Maintain and review procedures and policies and communicate with management any changes needed.
• Perform sampling for weekly/monthly/quarterly water quality control programs.
• Perform Buildings and Grounds upkeep and security at water treatment facility.
• Support SQF by maintaining food safety through completing job tasks and maintaining the area in a sanitary manner.
• Maintain all documented information as per SQF requirements.
• Work overtime, as needed, which will require an obligation from you to fulfill.
• Understand and follow all safety procedures, always wear proper PPE, and never put yourself or other employees in harm's way.

Interested employees must have the ability to adapt to new technology as it arrives in our facility.

HOURS : 4pm to 4am
DAYS OFF : Week 1- Sunday-Tuesday / Week 2- Sunday-Wednesday

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.

The pay range for this position is

$21—$27 USD
