Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced mobile developer to collaborate with internal and external teams to develop functional mobile applications while working in a fast-paced environment. Candidate will work remotely for the time being and may have some onsite meetings in the Houston, TX area. The candidate should have a passion for new technology, while at the same time able to understand the needs of our customers and how emerging technology can improve the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Work with client to prepare and program various projects related to the latest Mobile technologies
Deliver across the entire app life cycle from concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
Quickly integrate and update projects
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing project tasks on schedule and by interacting with other developers
Provide technical insight on existing mobile platforms to improve performance, availability and utilization optimizations
Prepare projects for hand-off and deployments as “proof concepts” move to production
Required Skills & Expertise
BA/BS University degree with a concentration in computers
Strong knowledge of iPhone & Android frameworks. Deliver state of the art iOS & Android mobile experiences across the different functions
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability
1-2+ years of mobile development, native or cross-platform
Extensive knowledge of at least one programming language commonly used in mobile app development, such as Swift, Objective C, Java/Kotlin, C#, or JavaScript
Experience with native iOS/Android development
Experience with Flutter, React Native or Xamarin.
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Ability to identify opportunities for technical improvements across multiple processes or functional areas, recommend solutions, and advocate for implementation
Participate in mentoring and skills transfer to junior members of the team
