Join Our Team as a Safety Officer at CHS Middletown!

At CHS Middletown, we are looking for a dedicated Safety Officer who will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our campus community. You’ll patrol our grounds, enforce safety procedures, and be the first line of defense in maintaining a secure atmosphere. If you’re ready to make a difference, read on!

• Conduct regular checks of doors and windows to ensure they are secure and locked.
• Patrol both the interior and exterior of the campus grounds.
• Enforce parking regulations to maintain order.
• Assist employees and visitors with any safety concerns.
• Report safety issues and place work orders as needed.
• Respond to emergency calls regarding suspicious persons or vehicles.
• Investigate any suspicious vehicles on campus.
• Act as a liaison with local fire, ambulance, and police departments.
• Maintain visitor logs for campus access.
• Respond to fire and security alarms promptly.
• Provide access to rooms and buildings as required.
• Document all security calls in patrol logs.
• Complete detailed incident reports and conduct follow-up investigations.
• Enforce organizational policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with employees to promote a safe working environment.
• Attend regular departmental meetings and relay important updates.
• Facilitate emergency evacuations when necessary.
• Maintain positive relations with students and faculty.

• Associate's Degree in law enforcement or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in security or law enforcement, with CPR and AED Certification.
• A responsible and enthusiastic individual who thrives in a mission-focused organization.
• Proactive problem-solver with the ability to implement effective solutions.
• Willingness to accept accountability and constructive feedback.
• Comfortable using technology, including Microsoft Suite and school software systems.
• Commitment to the mission and values of CHS and MHS, demonstrating integrity as a role model for children.
• U.S. work authorization and successful completion of pre-employment background checks and clearances.
